British Eurosport 2 to show 2012/13 EHF Champions League

British handball fans – both those who discovered the game through the Olympics and those who have been around for a bit longer – will (hopefully) be pleased to know that British Eurosport 2 will be showing this year’s EHF Champions League.

This is the top-tier competition for clubs across Europe that begins with group stages in September and culminates with the Final 4 weekend in May.  Last year, THW Kiel won the competition to complete a remarkable treble of Bundesliga, German Cup and EHF Champions League.

Matches will be shown from September onwards.  British Eurosport 2 is available on Sky channel 411 and Virgin channel 525 and you can check the listings here.

This is a fantastic competition which regularly features some of the most talented handballers in the world. I have been to the last two EHF Champions League Final Four weekends and seen some incredible games and great entertainment . If you thought the Copper Box rocked, try the electric atmosphere of Cologne’s Lanxess Arena. The crowd are clapping and cheering for the entire game and there are always spectacular pre-game shows. Tickets are available from €60 for the Final Four Weekend on 1st and 2nd June at http://www.ehffinal4.com/en/tickets.php

I watched most of the Final 4 online this year. As you say, the atmosphere seems incredible.

Plus this year I understand you got to hear Europe play some songs other than Final Countdown.
